Search Tools to find a safe healthcare provider

Transgender Care Listings – Search Tool

This tool allows individuals to search for various types of care providers and their locations. The site does not endorse any individual or practice, but offers a great starting place as to where to look for trans-friendly health care.

GLMA Healthcare Provider – Search Tool

GLMA works with selected community-based organizations and other healthcare facilities to identify LGBT-welcoming organizations and healthcare providers. An organization listed as a Community Partner means the organization and its providers are committed to providing competent non-judgmental care regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Each Community Partner has its own method of deciding which providers are associated with their organization. Sometimes there is a careful screening process. Other times, providers can be listed simply by asking. In any case, both the provider and organization have affirmed their commitment to LGBT health. However, neither the Community Partner nor GLMA endorses or guarantees the quality of the provider.

Human Rights Campaign – Healthcare Equality Index

The Human Rights Campaign has a yearly healthcare equality index rating healthcare providers based on four core criteria. This includes information about hospitals.
